I agree -- a nice set, an L/16. Frame and core are a match to S&L, and so is the stamp. These are sometimes confused (L/18 and L/16).

Can you post clear closeup of the maker mark?

It's not L/18, unless it's a fake stamp.

The cross looks nothing like an L/18 screwback, but exactly like an L/16 screwback.

Maybe it is L/16 , ... it's just looks like an eight there.
here is another L/16 SB maker mark next to this one.

Just forget about the mark for a second. The cross itself is an S&L, and doesn't resemble a Mayer in the slightest. So what mark would be on an S&L?
