The name is simply Helmut Kuhn. The 'Don' is the Spanish equivalent of 'Mr'

Legion Condor came to Spain in August 1936 and his departure was in May 1939, the campaign medals that were delivered during that time were having the diamond on the ring, the others are later and released both as to Germans, but later Spanish to May 1939.

If prefer you, which have the diamond are the first that were produced and delivered.

Do not be fake, were simply not delivered in time of war, but are 100% original.

It is a nice some grouping, not complete because the spanish cross document is missing.

the leather photo album is typicallly spanish hand made ,bought and brought back as souvenir (we still do the same when in foreign operations...)

the commemorative medal was awarded end of the war to the contingent during parades in Spain but ot before May 1939. I think that those who were already returned home in 1937,1938 received it later by post, together with the document. This is certainly why some documents are dated 1938 or 1939 (09/30/ 38, 12/01/38, 05/04/39, 12/01/39, 12/05/39 )

If he had been wounded in Spain he should have received the "Medalla de Sufrimientos por la Patria"

the spanish cross seems to be only marked CEJ, isn't it ? The cross looks to a bronze class, with the bronze color fadded. Of course, the case doesn't match with it.

I was waiting for your comment since you are "THE MAN" if it comes to spanish crosses

It would be great if the award document of the SC would be in this set, unfortunately it's not.

The album is even more pretty if you have it in hand. The photos do not reflect the whole beauty of the album. It is truly a unique and precise piece of art.

The SC is only marked CEJ and yes, it is bronze. I will try to make some better "sunlight" shots of it later today. It is in uncleaned condition and so is the wound badge. I leave it up to the future owner if he want's to clean it or not.
