I recently heard of the term cross hatching.Can someone please explain this concept to me?I'm no medal collector so i would like to learn.Thanks

It's on the spots in the corners, where the "ribs" on the inner arms, come together at the corners and cross each other.

Thanks a lot for the link provided,so it is a means of determine a maker??Very interessting as i can now imagine that all makers would use a different die.
