Question about Juncker Knights Cross markings

Hello, I have read in "The Knights Cross of 1939" that after about March 1941 all Knights Crosses had to be marked with their LDO numbers and later in the year all Knights Crosses were banned from retail sale. I am just curious what mark a Juncker Knights Cross would have applied to it if it was made in say 1943? Would it still be the L/12 mark even though their were no more retail sales? I understand the "2" marking would not likely be applied until 1944. I would welcome any thoughts on this.
    Thank you

My understanding that it would only be marked '800'.
A cross awarded in 1943 could still be marked L/12 as it could have been stock from when the L/12 were made (seemingly in large numbers). There is still debate as to when the PKZ numbering system was applied to RK's and that date has not yet been tied down.

I do not believe RK's were made every day but rather in batches when required by the PKZ therefore there could have been plenty of L/12 marked RKs in stock covering the period until the '2' marked pieces were made.
