    Ek1 op-ed

    George;

    first thing; we need some better photos of the cross, but imho the swaz appers to be bigger than known ek1s but it could just be the angle...is the ldo number "59"? The core appears to be similar to an l59

            In my opinion it 's not original.
            Too many strange things in the same time, all 4 inner cornes on top of the swaz, this is the thing more strange, then the L59 position too near the center and pinsystem + screw signs on back side present in the same time.

                Hello
                yes 3 piece construction but it 's just one of many details we need to check if one cross is good or not.
                Is it possible to take a pic in vertical view of front side and a close up, vertical view, of the stamp ?

                  Wow ... what a EK1 .
                  Messed around is an understatement . It seams to be a L59 marked cross with an original S&L core from what the date shows . .. original pin on the back and not a screwback .
                  The cross has been de-nazified ...
                  ... and the original pin and catch was removed .
                  .... a new ???? ......- from what it looks like to me - a new hand made Swastika with back pin added . Painted to fill the front seam . A hole made for the Swastike 'PIN' - put through and hammered tight ??? .... on the back and ground down flush . Crudly done ... when ? ... who knows ?/
