Interesting EK2...!!!!

Was rummaging through my cupboard today and found some thing I had forgotten about, bought it about 7 or 8 years ago just because it looked interesting, god love the spur of the moment e-bay purchases...!!!

Any Ideas what maker it might belong to ???

Any comments welcome...!!

It's..... err..... definitely well used! Looks like an S&L frame type.
Is that a box with a lid it's mounted on/in or just a base?

It is just a base lid did not come with it. the case has always been a bit of a talking piece, to me it just looks like a model plane decal on a balsa wood box linned with a bit of blue felt. I just asumed that one of the previous owners along the line had made it up for the cross.

As for the cross looks quite butchered either heavily neglected or a battlefield find I really couldn't say!!
