Help please with this EK2 mm 100

Hi Folks

Just picked up this EK2 mm 100 (Rudolf Wachtler & Lange Mittweida I think)

This came with a bunch of stuff from the son of a Commando who took part in the Dieppe raid in 1942. As you can see the frame is split. I assume that the lumpiness on the fame is where someone tried to repair it.

Does this look like a period repair? Was such a fault common? What is an EK2 in this condition worth? It will be heading to the e-stand.

Any comments would be most helpful and greatly appreciated.

It's a good, salty one. Value: probably about $60-$70 (marked, but rough). That's my personal opinion.
