My 4th '75'.....

Hello, all.....
I received this EK2, mm '75', today, courtesy of member schönbeck.

It is in FAR better condition than the other three that I own, but I'm curious about the small brass-colored dot at the junction at the 12 and 3 O'Clock arms (visible in the last photo).

It almost looks like the top of a rivet, but it does not go through the arm and there is no evidence of it on the reverse.

All opinions and comments are, as always, both welcomed and valued.

Bob I didn't even see it, I have no idea what it is? Have you tried to remove it? No tools, just with a nail or so.

Yes, I have.....It is firmly attached, and immovable....

I hesitate to use something with a fine, sharp point to try to dislodge it, for fear of damaging the cross.

yes it would be very easy to make a scratch with a tool.

Very odd Bob! Could it have perhaps been a factory repair due to a flawed frame? Perhaps a small hole that was pluged? Or perhaps a peice of solder wire that for some reason stuck there???
Nice 75 for sure! One of my favorites as they stand out in a crowd of crosses!

Nothing. There is NO trace whatsoever, on the reverse.
