    Brehmer Ek2 R3?

    Hey gang,

I did a search but am still a little confused about R3's.

This is my one and only EK2 - a minty mm13 Brehmer, is this a R3?

And what constitutes a thick R3 exactly?

Edit: I found what I was looking for on the main WAF website. Doh!

Still would like to know what constitutes a thick R3 though.

"R3" refers to "round 3" on both the 1939 and 1813 dates. Your 3s have the flat top, not round.

Hello there, you have a nice Brehmer with a core that has the swazi on a base. As already said your cross is not a Round 3 and i did a picture comparison between a cross like yours and a thick R3. The differences are many... the most relevant are: the design of the number "3" (rounded), the thickness of the cross (R3 is on about 5 mm while a standard EKII is on about 4 mm) and the weight. My Brehmer's weight is 17.5 gr and the thick R3 in the picture is 23 grams.
      Really hope it helps out,
      best,
      Stefano
