I'm an imperial guy, and I have a poor knowledge about TR era awards markings...
This cross have no signatures, but I was told that manufactor is KLEIN & QUENZER. That is correct? How you can say who made EK when there is no markings?

One can establish the maker, with reasonable certainty, by comparing the characteristics of the unknown maker cross to those of known and maker marked crosses with the same characteristics.

The pin or hardware is one of the easier ways, along with core characteristics. Frame design can also be used.
