As promised, here you are the pics of my other old spanish-made german medals. The Ek2 is the first mass-manufactured in Spain after the war. One piece made, casted silvered tombac alloy, painted, the upper small ring loose, schinckel type in size and design, made in the early 50´s, and actually very ugly, as details are very bad. But I love it. The red color in the ribbon is very faded and ribbon in itself is dead under black light.

Very nice examples of wear copies. I met some SCW/Blue Division Vets at a small reunion in Calella/Barcelona 1987. Very nice and interesting guys who were wearing their awards in full display.

Now I´m sharing the miniature for the EK2 made in the 60´s. Commonly worn on civil suits. The cross in itself is 1´5 cm. As it´s amplified and the picture is not too good, this looks much better when you have it in your hand.

My old EKII, they sure are ugly. 26.85g makes it the heaviest EKII.

I agree Gregorio, sure is a historical object and a true EKII variant and i bet the awardees was very proud of them but it's still butt ugly quality wise. There's fake "German EK's" that are 4 times better made than those and can't believe that someone in Spain not tried to fake them considering the price.

No, seriously. No fakes of these at the moment. Unfortunately there isn´t a big interest on these items in Spain yet. In the last fair in Madrid I picked some of these for 20 euros and the guy who sold them still thought that they were fooled to me. Why anybody was going to make fakes of this crosses and medal when in our country these medals and crosses are not very apreciated??
Dave: I haven´t good pictures of these items been worn good enough to say if they are german or spanish pieces. Dificult to get private pictures of veterans in Spain in general.
This one was published in one of my books last year. When you compare with the other medals, you can see that the East medal is bigger than the german one. So it´s may be a spanish made one. And the brightness of the Blue Div medal below shows this is made in Spain clearly.
Note the typical spanish attachment system in all of them.
