this is a good one Klein & Quenzer (n. 65 in PK list) and not a Godet (L/50).
Unfortunately stamp on the needle is post war.Comment

The theory would be that Godet (L/50) is a more prestigious and collectible maker than K&Q (65), so someone stamped an unmarked K&Q with an L/50 to sell it for more.Originally posted by Schelberg View Post

You've shown a textbook K&Q with a non-standard L/50 mark, and 5tefan says it is a fake mark.
Yet here we see a cross belonging to 5tefan -- a textbook B.H. Mayer with a non-standard L/50 mark, and he has "no doubts" it is a wartime original:
I am not trying to be contrary, but: why the difference?

Just in my opinion there are no reasons to see a B.H.Mayer marked L/50..
Have someone seen another one B.H.Mayer marked L/50 ? if yes it indicates that Stefan could be right. But at today we have seen just a K&Q marked L/50 and this thing indicates that there are persons like to up-grade unmarked EKIs marking them L/50. Just my thought.
That cross remains a wonderful frosted EKI to me of course.Comment

The K&Q is imo a fake maker mark
The B.H.M. is imo original L/50 maker mark
There are more than this B.H.M. with mm L/50
But this EK1 on my fotos is in condition "0"
and I know the owner
