    Mint EK 2 mm 98 or 68 ??

    Hi all,

    I just got this nice unworn EK 2 and wondered about the maker mark. Not sure if there is a regulation from were it is read. But maybe you can help me if its a 98 or 68 ??

        Hi Jens
        Its 98 for Rudolf Souval, Wien.
        You can also tell this maker from the external cornersof the beading on the cross.

          It couldn't be 68 but either 98 or 86.

          Anyway it's a 98 (Rudolf Souval).

              Yes, a '98' - Souval. For interest, no '86' - Paulmann & Crone EK2s have been found with a period makers mark stamped on them.

                These are a commopn maker, but not as easy to find marked with the 98.
