It's a shame about the repair by I agree with Michael, a Meybauer.

The catch repair was done with too much heat, which bubbled and ruined the paint on the other side (under the date), which was then repainted. I've found that I don't mind repaired crosses -- but only if they're done well.

Yes a Meybaur, I think the cross would display nicely on a salty tunic though! I hope You gat a great deal on it Thomas? I love PM's early pin style!
