    Odd Ek2

    Dear Friends,
I’ve got this Ek2 with envelope and at first glance envelope and ribbon –OK but Ek is very odd : swaz is polished on corners, dates on each sides are different – on reverse date is flat, frame were it stick to core is smooth.

I would like to wish you a Happy Easter!
    Thanks & best regards
    Michal

I really don't like the cross. In fact the only thing I would be happy with is the ribbon!
Can you post a shot of the seams around the frame please? It looks like a Stuttgart fake with possibly a different core inserted.

IMO. thn whole cross and setuo seems rather "flimsy".
I do not like it at all.

                  Hello Michal,

Unfortunately, I also do not think this cross is an original wartime issue.

The wide bead step is indeed reminiscent of the 'Stuttgart fake' but the beading itself is not nearly of as good quality -
it almost looks like a fake of a fake!

The frame seems to have been opened and (badly) re-soldered...
Maybe this was one of those cheap ebay 1957 type EK's that someone opened and replaced the core with this one.

                  Just my thoughts....

                  Regards - Danny

IMO I also agree that it is a fake, but a decent one for sure that will part many from their hard earned cash! The beading does not wrap all the way to the core edge, frame bead step is wrong as Danny pointed out!

Michal I hope You can get Your money back!

                    Kev
