Cased EK1 Spange. Early style case

    Hello Gentlemen,

I just acquired this item and would like to have your opinions on its authenticity. It is not maker marked. The case has the early style square push button. It is in STONE MINT condition!
Thank you for your assistance and comments,
    Vince Leone

Not sure about the case, but I don't like the spangen.

The clasp is 100 % fake, sorry...
And I am not to keen on the case either, something fishy about it...

Please be specific if you can. Just saying it is a fake is of no value to anyone. If you know what you are talking about a few sentences should not be too hard.
        Thanks,
        Vince

IMO this spange is not even a "fake". Just a very obvious modern reproduction.

I do not think that this spange matches any of the know accepted WW2 made spanges.
That is why I think it is a reproduction.

Vince, I know what I am talking about.
Elaborating on the same fake week after week (yes, they have been posted more then once in the past weeks) is just as hard as using the " search" button.....

                - The clasp is fake because it has no resemblance to known originals
                - The clasp is fake because this one first showed up about 10 years ago
                - The clasp is fake because it has never been found with provenance
                - The clasp is fake because there is no period pic that it can be identified with.

If you still think I'm wrong: use the search-button ....

The Spange is fake, the case is fake, and neither is "stone mint."
                  Best regards,
                  Streptile

                    Spange

You can find this spange with several makers marks. Here is an L/57, back so you can compare the setup which is identical to yours. Also, look at the left shoulder and it is probably round. Jim

                      Hi Guys,

This item and the IAB screw back were both returned to the seller.
                      Thanks for your assistance,

Vince, I can only advise you to do a search before you buy an item you are not sure about.
It saves time, money and frustration
