    Some EK2s and Packets

For a long time now my main interest has been EK2 Packets -- and crosses, if they happen to come with the Packets. I've collected a few different ones and thought I'd show these four sets on a slow and rainy Sunday.

    1) Berg & Nolte, marked '40'. I like the orange Packet a lot.

    2) Franz Petzl, marked '120.' I like the big jumpring, if only because it's different. This is a great set.

      3) Friedrich Keller, marked '66' on the ribbon ring solder seam. A boring cross, made up using S&L parts, I think.

        4) Hermann Aurich, marked '113.' Packet stamp is 'Metall-Aurich / Dresden A16,' which is cool sounding. One of my two or three rarest packets, and one of my favorites, as well.

Thanks, Nick. I like that one, too. Anything a bit different is interesting. I like the Aurich front-stamp for the same reason. Never seen another (real) Packet with that stamp.

Very nice packets, I love the petzl, you don't see those everyday. It's hard enough to find the packet itself and then to get one with the cross is something else.
How many packeted crosses does this make?

Great sets. I like the 40 set. Not a maker you always see. Do you have any of the Deschler hoard sets?

Yes, I have a double-marked '1' Deschler Hoard EK2 set. One mark is laterally applied across to ring, the other is applied along the length of it. It's pretty neat.

                    Thanks Blut and Mike.

I'm not sure precisely how many matched sets I have. I have Packets that need crosses, and one or two crosses in need of Packets.

                      Trevor,

I like what I see. It's always nice to find packets for lonely crosses; a real plus having the completed sets. I'm partial to the '40' as well. It's one of the few crosses which has the 'hump' for the jumpring to be attached to.
