    Ek help needed

    Hi Guys
    Have to Eks i need your help on.They both are part of a grouping i have to one guy.The ek 1 is maker marked from what i can see as a (.9) and the Ek 2 i think is a unmarked 65 .It also has a particial award packet and ribbon bar ,wound badge and Russian Front medal.Any info on the Eks would be appreciated.Jay

                Nice group Jay, I don't see any problems with anything there. The EK1 looks like a decent example of a Fritz Zimmermann and the EK2 from K&Q.

                        I believe the dot was put there to indicate the mark to be 6 not 9. Also, there is no maker 9 for EKs. Also keep in mind there are two makers with the name Zimmerman. There is this one, Fritz Zimmerman of Stuttgart, maker 6, and also C.F. Zimmerman of Pforzheim, maker 20.

                            That is a really nice group Jay! Consider yourself lucky to have a F. Zimmermann with such a nice core! Many are rusty and poor condition!
