    engraved iron cross 1st class...

    I would like to know about the info on this iron cross 1st class award please, ray..

    I would be very suspicious about this engraving...unless it came with solid provenance.

        Considering that the cross and case are fake ... I would "assume" the engraving is as well

                The pin is certainly not a known type on TR crosses. Same with the case. take a look at all the crosses and cases shown on this forum or in various reference books.

                    Ray, Although there are some known engraved EKI's out there, One a Meybauer comes to mind on this forum. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...light=engraved
                    Any engraved EK should be considered suspicious!!!!!!
