Gentlemen!
Read those interesting discussions about round cornered knight's crosses, but could not find exact match to this cross.
Anyone seen this kind of before? Known fake?
Cross is marked 800 on the back and is absolutely very well made. Hand finishing marks can be seen, at least with magnifying class. Soldering lines are just barely visible. Quality is very good.
Widht and height are appr. 48.5 mm. Basically this could be real....but :
What bothers me with this specimen are the following things:
1) Quite thick paint around the swastika and the year mark.
2) 1939 is located quite low.
3) Narrow "shoulders"
This definitely is not made by some common "latvian" faker, or is it?
Anyone wants to comment on that?
