    Aran,

There are original 1-piece Schinkel EKII's. And, there are 1-piece fake EKII's. Like anything, one has to study the details to judge between fake and original.

Some Ek2's are made of one single piece.

                You're sure it's a magnetic one-piece?

IMO, it looks like an original J.J. Stahl '122' but with a (badly) re-painted core.
Is it definitely a one-piece cross?

                      Regards - Danny

Then again, in the cold, sober light of day, maybe not....

                          Ekii

Take a picture of the cross on its side, like this. You can also see the seam on mine.

No seam if it is a one piece (although some cast copies do appear to have a seam in places).
Can you slide a fine piece of paper in between the black centre and the frame beading? (usually easiest to do at the centre corner points - try it on the reverse of the cross at the 7 o'clock position where the paint is missing, because the repaint will have filled in any gaps).
