Marked iron cross

well.. a couple days ago i was at the guy i regularly buy medals from, there i saw a strange iron cross i wanted to know if this was normal and if it was authentic well it was marked it had the soldier's name on it and it said somthing like 1942 krakow so i wanted know if this was normal with iron crosses
