    Variant maker marks.

Does any EK2 collector know of any other maker/s (other than Beck, Hassinger & Co - '123') that stamped their EK2s with more than one style of maker mark?
I'm talking specifically about PKZ numbers, not LDO marks.
IF you have any, please post them.

I'm not certain these are all different. Some could have been struck off center. But, I believe there at least two different stamps for the EKII's.

Not to get too crazy, but I consider the positioning of the marks relative to the rings to be variations as well.

            Daniel, Robert,
Thank you for your input - I had no idea about the S&L mark!

            George,

Well Adrian ... surprized there has been only 2 members replying to this .
I started some time back on the same idea . Did S&L and a few others and stopped . (Did include the L marks too ) . You will find that all large companies will show 2 or more mm variations . As with S&L and others probably mm ... the more different awards with rings or pins a company made ... more variations are probable . More than one maker marking die was in use at any given time - most likely . I would even guess .... just to speed things up ... one would borough a mm die from another work station .
Robert did show one comparison I did on the S&L EK2 ring maker mark . This maker put out such volume of awards - going through a few marking dies - that variations were soon found . I have a seperate grouping for pin marking dies S&L used and I may not have them all yet . As an interesting foot note ... S&L has the smallest maker marking die I have found so far , .. and it is on the pin of their black Wound Badge . Now that is small !
Here are the other S&L mark dies I have found sofar .

Sorry Douglas, my mistake I thought you meant you had started a thread before on the same subject.
That wound badge mark is amazingly small!

Yes one small mark .... only ever seen 2 . I think it counts as the smallest one used . And nicely centered ... guess a guide of some kind used ?.. or one steady hand .
