    Juncker Schinkel EK2

Recently I got this Juncker Schinkel EK2 from a dealer's Friday update. When it was shown in the photo, it didn't show the cool mounting. It's like a small, single ribbon bar that has had the EK2 ribbon custom-sewn in to it. It's a very interesting piece, and like all Schinkels undoubtedly early-war production. I don't know what happened to the obverse core paint, but along with the homemade mount gives it an interesting character.

    Any comments welcome.

    Best regards,
    Streptile

Nice Trev! Think the core is made like that, stippled, like the 1914 Juncker WF's. Some of them have a stippled core only on the obverse. There are Round 3's with stippled core too.

Stippled cores are bloody good looking if u ask me...

Nice find Trevor, was it listed as a Juncker piece or have you been out with the magnifying glass?

Thanks, everyone. Finally I have a second to breathe today...

Robert, the core is non-magnetic. I'm still waiting to see the first Juncker Schinkel with a magnetic core.

Yes, Carl, the stippled core has a certain beauty to it, doesn't it? Although I suspect in this case it was just a paint problem, I'm not entirely certain.

Mike, 'twas listed as a Juncker, but I spotted it from a mile away anyway. It's the distinctive webbed flaws in the inner beading corners that give away these Schinkels to me.

Steve, Adrian, Greg. The ribbon mount is my favorite part of this setup, too, and was a very welcome surprise when it showed up. Looks to be entirely hand-made. Never seen it before, and yes, it's very cool.

Thanks everyone for the nice words.
                        Best regards,

                          Hi Trevor!

Is it posible that D.R.P. means DEUTSCHE REICH PATENT ?
                          Nice cross!

                            What an I missing here

That's a totally "normal" EKII Juncker with a non magnetic core, and not a Schinkel style..
