    Take Heart !

It is clear that a major occupation of many on this forum is the detection of fakes, and the at countering the skills that the fakers are applying at achieving that "ultimate fake." At times its easy to read depression, disenchantment and at times (yes) panic in some of the posts.
We have gone through the "rounders" debate and I look forward to that one starting again incidently! and also the S&L flaws debate.
Throughout this I must hark back to some words of wisdom from Ludwig, who stated that post war copies just dont meet the real "quality". (for want of a beter word) that you see in orginals.
Well, to illustrate this I have taken some time to try to get some pictures of pieces from my own collection to show that the fakers havent come anywhere near the mark yet.... so feast your eyes and dont worry too much !
    Have a nice weekend all

You will see how the pieces simple ooze quality... and the repros just dont come near the mark. I read so much adverse comment on S&L RK's, but these are without doubt the nicest of all the manufacturers (in my opinion) and that the rubbish that was turned out in UK in the late 60's early 70's which many have cited as a condemnation of all S&L crosses is, I feel, a big mistake.... From the pictures above I think that you can see what I mean. Orinigal 800 S&L crosses have the same quality, and gentlemen, I would recommend that we are not side tracked by the small production flaws that some originals exhibit.
(thats my thought for this weekend !)

Here is the reverse of the Oaks....

Nice job Chris. It's the details they'll never get. It's all the people being taken with those blurry or 5,000 feet from above photos

Chris, how about a straight on of the front like you did of the back?
