    Guys:
A friend who is not a member of the forum has asked me to seek opinions on the spange. It is not mine and I have no fixed opinion as to its originality. Opinions please,

I am not convinced that this is an original WWII Spange.
But I would like to see much better strainght on photos, to be absolutely sure.

I am convinced this is a "vein-under-the-feather" fake Juncker 1. Form Spange with a bogus L/55 mark (which should probably be L55, anyway)
        Best regards,
        Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

Makers mark L55 supposedly Wachtler & Lange Rudolf.

Most of these things were not marked.

              I doubt it.

While on spanges, What about this one. There are no markings on either piece.

                  Don't like that one either.
                  Lack of details.

It came from a dealer that is usually straight up about whether something is right or not, but I guess everyone doesn't get it right all the time.

                      Spange

Johnny, I don't like the spange as it lacks detail in every aspect. Do you have it in hand? Take off the disc and take a picture of the back and post please. Jim

Not to be contradictory but I think the fake should be called 'vein-below-the-feather' rather than 'vein-under-the-feather'. The vein on the originals is really 'under the feather', as seen below...
