Opinions please... Spange to 1914 Iron cross 2nd class

After combing through the site for information on this, I believe that this is a fake. Would like some reassurance from collectors that it is an actual fake before I destroy it.
    Reasons:
    - Excess metal in right curvature of wing.

    - Difference in wing size to the left and right of each leg (right is smaller)

    - Rear metal clasps are continuous pieces not individually put on like most originals.

    - L/12 marking on back.

    - The paper packet it came with Frank & Reif stamped.

Purchased it at a gun show in British Columbia about 20 years ago for $75.

I will post pics of it's destruction for all of us that have been scammed to get some satisfaction.

          Unfortunaly you are right.
The clasp is a copy of a Deumer clasp with a bogus l/12 mark.
Don't now much about envelopes, but I don't like it either, sorry....

That's one fake that won't make it back into circulation. Unless of course it's described as a "real been there piece that speaks to you."

In my opinion this is an authentic and ultra-rare Juncker 3rd Pattern Spange with the uncommon "flagpole" L/12 mark.
                          Best regards,
