I'm almost to the point where I decide never to go to this place's auctions because even *I* can tell that so much of the stuff coming out of there is fake....

I think I saw this on "Militaria321" In fairness it was only about 30 or something euros whe I saw it, that in its self should tell you its not a real one. How much did it eventually sell for

This particular one is supposedly coming up for auction in March in PA. However, it was marked as a War Merit Cross 2nd Class. Either they're hoping someone will think it's a real KC WMC and be fooled into thinking they're getting a "steal" on an incorrectly identified award, or they honestly don't know what it's SUPPOSED to be and think it's a real WMC 2nd.

This auction house is constantly auctioning off tons of TR stuff and it's very tempting to go down there and check things out. However, not being enough of an expert at badges makes me very leery, and think that going there would just be more educational in helping me figure out what NOT to buy. If anyone's interested I could post more of the pics from down there. Maybe this should be on the fakes forum, I don't know, but they're selling SS armbands (that are actually the SS runes on the band, not the swas with the black piping), an antipartisan, at least one Panzer Assault 50 and one 75, some sort of Army Sunburst Party Award Badge, a Blood order, etc. A lot of looks like it might be fine, but how can you trust any of them when they're surrounded by fakes?
