    KC neck ribbon....Original?

    Hi all,

have seen this for sale and was wandering if it is an original WW2 era one OR a 57 version.

Discription: "45mm wide, 13" long with folded and hand sewn ends having 6.5" long mini EK ribbon tie each end."

    Thanks.

Impossible to tell from these pictures. Need more close-ups.

I've been collecting TR since the early 1960's. Until late 1980's-1990 I never saw a full length ribbon for an RK with ek ties, and never one with a mid neck sewn seam. Ditto for RKvKVK neck ribbon. The few cased RK's ever saw had short ribbons. Award, combat worn RK's I saw had short, 5-6" ribbons with thin flat white or colored ribbons attached, or, a shoe lace to hold it on. Thinking on it, until recent times, I never saw the narrow EK ribbon anywhere, other than on RK ribbons. FWIW

It's a fake! And, I too have never seen an original neck ribbon attached to the small IC ribbon.

                  Just another collector romantic myth!

23 stitch-count white band. I don't know -- that's a grey area for me. 25 and 30, I know. Maybe someone else will offer an opinion.
                    Best regards,
