    I don't know if the ring broke loose and was replaced by another, thinner ring, or this is the original. The small ring is soldered closed, which I find surprising. It is not soldered into the hole at all.

      That's definitely the same frame, Bob. When I say "7 o'clock beading strand" I mean the leftmost upright arm of the 6 o'clock arm (7 o'clock area), so the flaws are identical.

      I wonder if anyone can produce a core that matches Bob's?
