they will be different by maker

As SAL said, it depends of the makers. size is just indicative and in any case can't be taken as a sole point to determine authenticity. several manufactures produced spanish crosses. the swords can be a bit bent which lower the size. the best way is to show pictures.

Thanks guys, but that is ok, Im not trying to authenticate an original.

I bought a repro as a place-holder for one of my display tunics and when it arrived it looked much smaller than what I thought an original should be. I just want to know if it is close at least.

The range is 55mm to 57mm depending the manufacurer, etc..

Well the repro seems to be the right size after all. I guess these just look larger to me in the photos.
