Schinkel EK2 in wear

Recently I got this great portrait of a soldier wearing a Schinkel EK2 (along with an early
pattern Black Wound Badge). When it arrived, I was very pleased to see that the Schinkel
was one of my two favorite Schinkel types, a so-called Halbschinkel. They are discussed
in some detail HERE. I snapped a photo of the portrait with the cross in front of it.

I'm very happy with this "set" of items. I have so many little display ideas, and the stuff to do them, but really lack the time and, most especially, the space (in a Manhattan apartment) to do them. I like unusual variants of a particular decoration coupled with a portrait of same in-wear, so this one is special for me.
