The KVK II looks like a typical late war zinc piece with the cast suspension loop. The box I seriously question.

I saw this on the website recently - I have seen several KVK 2 in these types of cases around. I can't see what is wrong with the case myself, have you looked underneath the flocking?

Try to take the buttom out of the case and hold the glue under blacklight.

Thanks for all the comments.
Here is a photo of the inside showing what looks like old glue. Nothing glows under the UV light, not the glue, not the paper hinge and not the inside of the lid...so far so good.
Joerg, the brown material which covers the case seems to be different from the one on your thread. The grain looks different and it has much more of a "dull" effect that I would expect.

Maybe they do fake these by now ? You've an early style case and a later made badge........not the original combination at a guess.

yes the brown material on mine is very similar to yours, a dull, not shiny stuff. Have you looked inside as well?

There does seem to be a very subtle difference in the outer covering, perhaps it's my eyes ?

No I've not taken it apart I've no reason to doubt it at this moment in time This box of mine does pass the black light test though, I will get the dimensions for you and further pic's of the hinge area.

Where did you get from ?

Mine is 6.8 x 6.8 x 1.6 cm. Yes it looks like an old sticky label, sides like a postage stamp
I usually like to check the smell of these old cases but this one stinks on moth balls
