Try to take the buttom out of the case and hold the glue under blacklight.
I gave my one back.

Thanks for all the comments.
Here is a photo of the inside showing what looks like old glue. Nothing glows under the UV light, not the glue, not the paper hinge and not the inside of the lid...so far so good.
Joerg, the brown material which covers the case seems to be different from the one on your thread. The grain looks different and it has much more of a "dull" effect that I would expect.Attached Files

There does seem to be a very subtle difference in the outer covering, perhaps it's my eyes ?
No I've not taken it apart I've no reason to doubt it at this moment in time This box of mine does pass the black light test though, I will get the dimensions for you and further pic's of the hinge area.
Where did you get from ?
