Help needed with identifying EK2 maker

    Hello All
While trying to identify the maker of this cross, I narrowed my list down to about four, but since I'm pretty new to EK's I would really appreciate some expert opinions!
It's a three piece, magnetic core cross (and the ring is probably a replacement)

    All the best
    Filip

Maybe Friedrich Keller-Idar Oberstein (66)...somebody else has a guess?

The closest example to my cross(assuming it's a 66) is a 66, double marked cross posted by member Danny70 which can be found in the following thread, post #25

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=eks+66

Although the second 9 in 1939 is far more slanted on my cross then on Danny70's example (if that's a major factor in determining the maker in question)
And the swastika on my cross seems a bit thinner.

@Overijssel- thank you for your thought

      All the best
      Filip

        Hi Filip,

I don't think you have a '66,' but it may be hard to name a specific maker to your cross.

The '3' in '1939 is the first place I would look for a match to a marked EK2.
        Best regards,

Looks like it could be a 76.

            Thank you for the replies

Not trying to be boring just trying to get some more info

I've noticed the bead flaw in the upper right inside corner, that's distinctive for a S&L frame ???

You also pointed out the 3 in 1939. Looking at the core of my cross I cant see the slanted 3 that's found on 76 cores?

Thank you for helping a novice EK2 collector

            All the best
            Filip
