    L/13 Spange

Thanks to Jon I was able to get this uncommon version of the EKII spange by L/13 with loops. It has green stuff all over it and if anyone knows how to remove let me know. All comments appreciated. Jim

              Very nice clasp indeed Jim!

About cleaning: try a jeweller, they usually have some ultra-sonic bath for cleaning jewellry.
But don't forget to ask what fluid is in the bath, it ight harm the finish of the clasp....

Not all ultra sonic cleaning devicesare using fluid. I have once my glasses cleaned by ultrasonic sound, and that did not involve any fluid at all.

                  Jim!

Sweet spange. I have an EK2 that had this same green stuff on the beading rim. Someone (I forget who) suggested gun oil. Believe me, it wasn't easy to find gun oil in New York City -- but I did, and it took it right off with a drop on a toothbrush and some light rubbing. That was about 6 months ago, and I've had no problems since. It's not returned, nor has there been any tarnishing.

                  Hope it helps...
And I bet gun oil is easier to find for you.
                  Best regards,
                  Streptile
