EK2 Spange L/12 Juncker made From Zinc - How Uncommon Are They?

These Juncker's seem to gather a lot of interest, but researching the forum, I could not find much discussion on the zinc L/12 Spangen.

This one is exactly how it came from the son of a US Vet. Note nice threads where it was once sewn on a uniform.

Would appreciate comments on how uncommon zinc L/12's are. I tried to photo the maker mark as best I could, but the zinc makes it hard to get a crisp shot.

First time I pealed it off the prong to photograph the maker mark.

A controversial Spange, to say the least.

I don't know much about spanges, but I sure like the stitch lines and wear to the ribbon.

Here's another example for comparison purposes. Zinc, I believe.

Here's one that Helmut Weitze offered some time back. It appears to be zinc also.

Thanks George - Not commenting on the authenticity of either badge as I am far from an expert in these. Based on the photos the one's posted do not have the same detail (look at the feet and claws and feather details) as mine and I see style differences, most noticeably the breast and numbering. Notice also mine has 7 clearly defined feathers to the left of the eagles left breast. I see only six on the others.

Here is another angle. As I mentioned, as provenance matters sometimes in determining what good is, mine did come directly to me along with other German items directly from a Vet's son.

I would have to agree with you.

What stood out immediately to me on both eagles is the bottom of the breast does not bisect the talons like mine. They are slightly off center to the left in photos. You can make an imaginary line on mine through the talons to the swastika. If you look at them both, the breast and the swastika are off center.

I thought these were deemed fake a while ago?
I see nothing that reminds me of a Juncker clasp...

It looks like a cast Deumer with an L/12 mark....

I do not like it either.

                              Thanks for the opinion.

Is there references that show why this one would be viewed a reproduction? I always keep an open mind, but since I know the history of this badge, would like to have more information before condemning it.

                              Here is a better photo.
