    Gottlieb & Wagner '52' & Ernst Müller '76' EK2 sets

I was snapping some photos of some of my crosses to list on the eStand, and I thought I'd show two sets (not for sale) that I had never photographed before. The photos of the marks definitely leave much to be desired, unfortunately.

The first is a beautiful '52' Gottlieb & Wagner set, really one of the nicest EK2s I've seen.

All opinions and comments are welcome!

    Best regards,
    Streptile

Yes, thanks Robert. These are in terrific shape, and the patina on the '52' is so nice it's almost a deep-sea blue. I wonder what metal it could be? I'm pretty sure both are uncleaned.

Very nice examples with packets too. The 52 is one you don't see much.

                  Trevor,

I would think the frame would be stamped from neusilber sheet with a high-grade silver overlay, and polished to a luster. Time + humidity/oxygen= patina.
