      Very nice 26 Robert .
      3rd pin set on yours . The first 2 pin sets were standing anchor types .

                            Great cross. That specific case-type is associated with Mayer '26' EKs. As far as I know there are only a handful of case types that we pretty much know belong with a particular cross maker. '26' gets these, '6' gets a particular type with a black base insert, the green ones usually go to '65,' and early Godets get the half-domed case with the very white base insert. There may be more that are known, I'm not sure.

                              isnt there another latch type for the 26?
                              I believe the hoarde type has a rectangular button if memory serves me,,,,,

                                Could very well be. There are also "B.H. Mayer" marked cases that are completely different, so these EKs probably came in a few types. I should have said: this type of case is certainly one of the types that are correct for a Mayer.
