    Dave, I prefer people to make their position known, it's healthy, but I don't understand your stance on this discussion. Shouldn't you be airing on the side of caution, you made the statement not me. I certainly wouldn't liken the picture you illustrated as a dramatic landmark and you have hit the nail on the head, we can't have a good 'look see,' as the photos are too poor quality.

    Asking me to prove the flaws don't exist, is as impossible as it is for you to prove they do, shadows are not flaws and without flaws this may as well be a cast from genuine K&Q frames. Your assertion that these are probably made from the original frame dies is at best a guess, given your long term collecting experience, your guesses will become other people's facts, unless we are careful.

    Dave I hope you know me well enough to know I am being neither personal or obtuce. If you know more or have additional photos that will shed more light on this, I would love to see them.

    All the best,

    Craig.

    I'd rather you stick with your assertions and show (us) why the frames are just SIMILAR rather than closing out with;

    """"The only conclusion I can come to is I can't come to a conlusion based on these photos.""""

    Let's address the very obvious...

      Craig, I know you are being genuine and certainly not obtuse!

      You may call the 'flaws' shadows and opine that the frame is cast...that's great and that's why we have these discussions.

      What we need is others to join in and maybe then we might get more pics and clarity. Heck, I recall one of (these) on Ebay some years back that got all the way to $3k+ before it was pulled....only the style of the 1939 gave it away!!

      I don't know if K&Q was even considered a maker of '57 Knight's Crosses until Harry showed us his!!

      Keep after me Craig and don't be shy
      Regards,
      Dave

        That's the spirit.

        You're right, we need people to add to this discussion and certainly add more photos.

        Hopefully all will be revealed...
