Anyone on the forum that bought it?

Peter von Lukcs split up the group, and i was able to get his IAB + woundbadge, but someone beat me on his EKI.

So, was it anyone here?

Hi Daniel,

I was offered this group by Peter as I bought the rest of Konopacki's group several years ago. See here:http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...+Gold+top+hook

However, I decided not to buy as the awards were not in such good condition compared to his CCC in Gold and Ehrenblattspange.

I hates to see one German soldier's award grouping broken up in order to sell for profit. Someone should buy the soldier's grouping intact!

I am not trying to be rude here. But if you hate that, I think you should buy the groupings.
Just thing of all the items that you have collected, they have all been a part of a grouping at one time. And what does make a group complete, is it the medals with papers, or should the uniform and equipment also be added?

I hate to see a nice group being split up, but I would not blame a seller for doing so.

Just my thought on this issue.

Flemming, Thanks for your comment on my post regarding split up groupings. I also dont want to be rude. I respects all WAF members' opinions on broken up medal groupings. I like to buy intact groupings but I dont have money. I know that many dealers do that way. I've seen many medal groupings broken up by dealers before. Thanks!

You share my thoughts..

I could only afford the EK, the Iab and wound badge....my goal is to buy the EK and to get closer to complete the little group.

My goal is not to buy the other stuff cause, lets face it, i have bigger chance that Pamela Andersson will call me and ask me to do her than afford his RK and DK.

And we all know how big chances i have

back to topic..

I still look to complete the group by finding the EK and the bronze CCC.

I agree, it´s a shame that most dealers are not interested in Fate and History. I can´t understand those Persons who always thinking damned money. If a grouping is broken because of the historian Circumstances it´s life but broken just for a "handful dollars more" it´s bad character.

It is always difficult when a "grouping" is split.

But on the another hand how could you 100% know that the group is 100% correct to the man?

I dont talk about this grouping to Konopacki its seem to be okay.

When the German troops surrender i,ll bet that both the English, Americans and the Russian took medals from the German soldiers.

And maybe on the reunion of a lot off regiments in the 60s many of the veterans bought the medals again that they have earn, some was original and a lot of them was copys.

Is it wrong thinking?

Back to the point.
If someone buy a group and want to split it it is up to the seller.
But you couldnt be 100% that the group is to the soldier and not 100% that all medals is original.

In my case i havent split it, its a bit of history

Well, one thing is for sure, if i find the EKI and the CCC, I for sure wont split it
