There is a lot of debate about what a real '109' looks like, as they were never known marked. For me, personally, I am sure that this is the correct '109':

The frame is similar to a '24' but the core and jumpring are different.
      Best regards,

          Hi Josef,

No photos in the link, but it you copy the url information and enclose between these brackets:

...then the images appear here in the forum.
          Best regards,

                Hi Josef,

You can still post photos using the brackets [IMG][/IMG], you've just made a technical error and enclosed the website address instead of the image url. It's OK.

                I think the cross is a 109.
                Best regards,

Yes, a good 109 in my opinion.

All kinds of crosses have been found in these 109 packets . They bought parts and assembled the crosses . Seams like most of their crosses are made of S&L parts , as are the crosses shown here too .

I think personally that there is one true, real 109.

A collector recently (within the past few years) bought twenty brand-new W&H packeted sets with tissue intact from the ex-owner of an awards shop in Germany (among many other mint awards). All 20 sets had the exact same cross (same as the one I posted and the one Josef posted). This cross has also appeared in many other W&H sets.

Like the '86' P&C sets, I think that this one is now known but always unmarked, and that other crosses found in W&H Packets over the years are likely put-togethers.
                          Best regards,
                          Streptile

Here is my '109', which was said to have come directly from a German vet...
