    W&L Main ID Features Project 11c

    Here I am just putting together in one thread the most common and important features that identify a W&L cross - be it a EK1 or EK2 . The thread has 7 posts to afterwards additions and comments are welcome .

    As priviously shown the 'crunch bead ' difference .

    The pin on the W&L EK1 is very close to a S&L pin , but still some differences to tell them apart ;

      Some features on the W&L ribbon ring one finds , which is often frosted after assembling as well . A lot of times the frosting destroys or makes the 100 mark very hard to see .

        Now an important feature of W&L EK2s one rarely gets to see which only W&L has !

          The 2 W&L Frame die types and characteristic features do to bead flow pattern .

            And some other general construction and appearance features amongst crosses from the same maker. A lot of times such side pictures are not given but amazingly do reveal alot ! If one is after crosses of this maker - do ask for them !

                    Superb! This is exactly the information i've been looking for, many like me narrow down an iron cross to the correct war from there its baffling, how many makers are there left Douglas for the magic treatment? Seriously helpful stuff, Thanks!
