            Hi Stew,

You have a nice honest "S-W" EK1, believe to be Sy & Wagner, Berlin.

This example appears to be an earlier one with a cast iron core. It is not uncommon for these earlier cores to have cracked over time, especially if there has been any stress/bending on the frame.

            Regards
            Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

              Hello,
I agree with Mike, manufacturer is " Sy und Wagner " and about crack of these cores also, I have another one same maker, very nice like this you have, and it has a crack under the "W". unfortunately it' s common.
