    New arrivals

    Hello everyone,
just recovered a couple of unusul items at the local flea market...
the first one is a nice EKII unm... but it is open on all 4 inner corners, only the external soldering is keeping the cross together.
It doen't look cracked or broken but just opened. Strange, never seen before, what do you think about?

          Hello,

Nice pick up - an unmarked '27' (Anton Schenkl's Nachf., Wien).
I have had one, and have seen a few others from this maker in this condition,
as far as I remember this 'splitting' is attributed to the Gablonzer production method.
Here's another cross (also a '27') with the same fault, it is discussed in more detail there.

          Regards - Danny

The second cross must be a joke
It's a KVK II with an interesting sospension ring... it was in bunch of all kind of mixed items...
There are no sign on the metal, well at least it looks like an old replacement...
Well i don't know, there are no mm on the loop and the dimensions are about right... 20 mm long and 9 wide.
When i saw it, i said what a but then i asked to my self... could it be possible?
            Cheers,
            Stefano
