    GOLDEN RK Des KvK oakleaves?

    Hello all,

I read somewhere on the forum that there was a presentation of the GOLDEN RK Des KvK with oakleaves. Can somebody clarify or perhaps post a picture?

      Dear William,

That is correct. I believe there was also a silver version with oakleaves. These were discovered as part of the Schloss Klosshiem find. Jason Burmeister had them on display at the last SOS.

Klessheim was (and still is) a huge estate, used by Hitler as a meeting place with foreign dignitaries. At the end of the war, the PKZ moved large stocks of awards (especially high-end pieces) to Klessheim. American troops occupied Klessheim and found and looted the awards stored there. Jason and other members here (especially Bob Hritz) have tried, with a good deal of success, to track down these veterans.

No photos of the medals, but here's a photo by Pieter Verbruggen of part of Klessheim.

If you do a search of SOS pictures there is one in there that shows these RK KVKs as part of Jason's display.
