    Kvk1 mm65

Quick question, is this a tombac or zinc based cross???????
    Here is the link.

It's hard to tell, but one thing to remember about zinc KVKs is that the silver finish tends to fade away over time, while it does not on tombac pieces. Every zincer I've ever owned had little silvering left on it, even though the medal itself was still nice and crisp.

You should PM the seller, I would hope he knows whether or not it's zinc. It does look like a very nice-looking "65" with all of its silvering intact.

I saw this "65" and don't feel very comfortable with this one...
Marc is a really reliable dealer (I like deally with him ) but anyone can be wrong

It seems well made but from the reverse it is very different of the "65" KVK1 I use to seen
      -I never seen a such pin on a "65" EK1 or KVK1 and from those pics I don't like the "65" number.

Has anyone else an opinion on this one ?
If it is real I missed a rare variation for my collection

Mike, I also notice the difference in the pin setup and even the "65" is side ways compaired to the ones I've seen like yours. But I figured, like you said Marc is a long time member and I'm new to this. I just figured it was an older variation. Thanks for pointing it out and bringing it up. Maybe someone else can chime in.

there was a pretty large find of 65 crosses in germany recently, all unissued, various condition though, I dont know hoe got that lot unfortunately.

There were a lot of marked pins there as well....so watch out
