    Knight's Cross of the KVK

Any feedback on this too good to be true item?

You'd need far bigger, better quality scans to have any chance of cj=hecking whether this is real or not. Some Deschler marked pieces have a definite error in them, but others don't. Some good copies are die struck and others cast, but these images are no where near clear enough to tell from.

Certainly would be a bargain if it is real, but the market for these things is pretty depressed as no one trusts them much.

      Knights cross of the KVK

Mr Williamson, would you explain about the Deschler made crosses having an error in them, I would like to know more about it, as I have an original and would like to know more. I got the piece at a house call a ways back. I brought it to a jeweler and had it weighed, it came in at 33.9 grams, also marked 900 then 1
      Thanks,
      Kevin

Its difficult to eplain verbally, somewhere I have some scans of originals with the differences marked. They are stored on one of many dozens of CDs, but I'll try to track them down for you.

Kevin your information about you pieces leaves a number of questions. I would sugest this could be one of the early good copys,

            RK KVK

Hello WARLORD, Sorry, I have not replied, been off the net for a while. What question, I asked, make you think this is an early copy? The weight is very close to the 33.8 grams as in the medals section. This award came from a house buy mixed in with several other original, KVk1, KVK2 and iron crosses. Bomber clasp, I don't think the woman would throw in a RK to sweeten the pot, also bought all husbands uniforms from WW2. I'll try and get a picture of the cross on today, You never know who may slip in an RK, KVK.
            Thanks,
            Kevin
