            Hi,

I think the EKI is a meybauer, and I think there is even the MM #7 on the pin.

            Cheers, Thomas

              Hello
Thomas says right, it 's Meybauer and probaly it 's marked because that sign is in the right position, peraphs it 's not complete.
I don't know who 's manufacturer of the 2nd class..

Thanks for your reply so far.
There is NO marking in the pin. It is just a small scratch.

If it's just a scratch it's surely a coincidence that the scratch is in the right shape and proper position for Meybauer's Präsidialkanzlei number "7". Consider yourself lucky. That's not the easiest Meybauer to find.

Yes, the EK1 is by Paul Meybauer, showing the early coke bottle shaped pin. They later changed pin design. This early style pin was shaped the same as the pins they used on thier 1914 EK1s, but were a little larger to accomadate the larger demension of the 1939 series EK1s. I thought the same when I saw the mark on the pin that it might be a faint 7, Meybauer's official mark. Is that 7 mark seen on these early pins that often? I have an L/13 mark on one, but not sure if I've seen 7 marked on the early pins.

                    Is the EK2 a wide frame 24?

                      Pretty sure it's a '7' mark. Nice EK1.
                      Best regards,

                        Nice ek1 with a tiny 7 mark.
Not sure about the ek2, I doubt it is a widefram '24', this ek2 got a very standard design, could be S&L, but im not sure.

I agree in that it is MM 7. I can also see a faint 7 on the pin.

                            I looked at it again.
It is or a scrath or a faint MM "7".
If it is a 7 I am happy with it.

Thanks again for all you comments.

many times the stamp was so soft that remained uncomplete, for this reason we can say that your cross is marked "7".
