    Suspicious KVK1 w/o swords

I would be surprised if this medal is ok. Should I assume the hardware is not correct? The pin end has been clipped, not round or pointed. On the obverse, the 3 "stripes" in the wreath are aligned at 90 degrees to the axis of the pin. The edges appear to have file marks moreso than die stamping esp on the wreath part.
I thank all who wish to comment.

      on the back

due to fine tuning the pic for color, the back is smooth and not pitted as seen here.

        Hi Van,

Do you have this one in-hand? I'm wondering how you know the pin is oriented incorrectly, as it could just be the photo?

        Thanks,
        Best regards,

Is yours thought to be a Wiedmann?

It has to be a wiedman, streptile.
Catch and pin are a 100% match.

Yes I have the medal in hand. I'm including an angle shot of the back. It seems very similar to Alex's but a different mfr.
Again, thanks guys for your input. Hopefully these kinds of postings help others out there that haven't gotten around to making an inquiry.

I think they're a bit different, if you take a good look at the catches. I have one just like the KVK that opened this thread.

EDIT: see this thread - http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=355097
