Opinion on Makers Mark for EK1 Spange

    Hi Guys,

I need a quick opinion on a EK1 Spange makers mark which has been offered to me.

It is marked L/60 which would indicate that it is a Gustav Brehmer piece but
L/60 is not a recognized maker of either EK1 or EK2 Spanges.

    Any opinions?

Seems suspicious because the asking price is also only $200

    Thanks

That would be two strikes (mm and price) not worthy of waiting for strike 3.

The Floch EKI spanges use primarily a wide pin such as the Mayer, and are marked with various numbers. I would guess this might be one of those...

either it's a fully fake spangen
or the L/60 mm has been added post-war to an authentic one... which is unlikely, that's why we're all guessing it's just a repro

              Spange

It looks like a raptor or anyway it is a fake. Jim

Can't really tell anything from these pics.
When in doubt, don't. (Don't buy, that is.)

                  This is what it is...

Not a raptor, but nonetheless a fake like Jim said...
